Alan Lawrie

Having lived in Denmark for 14 years, France for 3 and having customers all over the world, Alan feels he is a European first, Englishman second who has spent a career marketing music, video and film in Europe first alongside his entertainment agency, then as a Juke Box operator, music consultant to Scottish and Newcastle Brewery and a music content supplier. See C.V.

Now semi-retired living with his wife, Jacquie, in Worthing, West Sussex writing and publishing books. Naturally, the first one was a historical collection of stories with classic photos of the  crazy world of International DJ's he managed in the 70's and 80's (sold surprisingly well).

One of his current projects is completing a book about British humour and the quirky world we live in. Alan mainly specialises in speculative fiction - you can just let your wild imagination run away with you. As such, he intends to bring “Moon City” up to date, complete his novel “The Ultimate Race” - and the current script of “Mnemonica.SARL” which he hopes to adapt to a screenplay. Writers never retire, - they slow down and peter out…but not yet! The world of writing never fails to fascinate, even to collaborate with works of fellow writers with critiques, ghost writing (see Les Hemstock’s biography. It’s a great read).

As Covid19 virtually killed off his music business, Alan turned to writing and publishing during lockdown and self published his books via his newly formed Pinkyblue Publishing.

Fast forward to 2025, people don’t really read books in the traditional way, so this web site that you are now on will allow viewers to read many stories on here for free however, some will have a link to Amazon. So there is a lot to come on these pages.
