About Us

Alan Lawrie Arts website has been created and now managed by myself and my wife, Jacquie. We run it from our peaceful bungalow in Worthing, far from the madding crowd, nestled next to the South Downs and only a stone’s throw from the sea.

Brick house with large windows and steep roof, surrounded by green plants and trees; a blue car is parked in the driveway.
Aerial view of residential property with solar panels on the roof.

We are literally on the busy A27, on Arundel Road (BN13 3EQ), top left is a Seagull’s view of where it drops its presents, and on the right is where you can park if you pop by for a cuppa.

If you have a project, story or simply want to come and say hello, apart from entertaining you here, there are some quiet, charming Olde World country pubs nearby to ‘interview you’.

We are interested in film projects (See Chris Trowell’s Juggler which we are promoting), fascinating stories from the music and DJ life, book publishing and writing, and following the artistic journeys of my children Rudi and Lisette. My eldest daughter, Lisa, is also skilled in Art & Presentation and she is a qualified sexologist living in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Hobbies are music research (particularly from the 40s and 50’s), watching period dramas, writing speculative fiction, playing and writing music purely as an amateur. Studying graphology - I could have qualified professionally, but decided on marketing. Architecture.

Organising parties and music events, history, current affairs and studying languages. See C.V.

Jacquie Lawrie

Amazingly, I found Jacquie’s CV. She is far more IT Literate than I am and has created several web sites that are as professional as any (pinkybluepublishing.co.uk - but now integrated into Alan Lawrie Arts.) and a web site for a Dominatrix that came to us! And, indeed we had a web site for our Airbnb, however, booking.com and AirBnB are more effective platforms so we discontinued it.

During lockdown of 2022, we turned to writing and publishing, which in turn resulted in 6 books, and the tedious, repetitive discipline of constant proof reading and correction was shared between us.

Her hobbies are Genealogy, History, Watching Period Drama TV series and Films, enjoying classic afternoon tea with friends. Collecting sweaters (she now has more than Imelda Marcos had shoes!)

Along with her husband, Alan, Jacquie runs a 4 star AirBnb adjacent to our bungalow. It's private, own entrance, ultra modern, patio and parking.

Any enquiries should be addressed via Booking.com or AirBnB. Ref 'Studioannieworthing 56'
