Luxembourg Reunion 2025

This year in May we had a fabulous Reunion in Krakow, Poland. A wonderful Hotel with a rooftop bar overlooking the River Vistula. Two great restaurants, lots of interesting places to do and see but above all incredible fellowship and camaraderie over so many decades. So much so that during our heyday Luxembourg was very much part of our lives (and great venues). Who remembers the Blow Up, Royal Bugatti, Scorpion, Black Bess, Byblos and so many more.? - alas, you won’t find them now! So, on the last night in Krakow we took a vote and unanimously decided that Luxembourg would be a great place to met up again.

Following the same formula, BOB CHRISTY and I are more than happy to make this happen. We have chosen the third week of May (following week is a national holiday).

Hotels are horrendously expensive and fully booked solidly in the centre, so Bob advises (having lived there for 46 years) staying in a Hotel by the Airport would be cheaper and sensible. Now public transport is free in Luxembourg and therefore the 10 minute train ride into the centre costs nothing. No parking to worry about either.

We will arrange two great restaurants to wine and dine in on those two evenings, probably at 7pm allowing moving onto the nightlife afterwards. Most of us, I guess, will arrive on the Monday 19th but how long everyone stays is individual owing to how much time you all have. Once we have identified the best Hotel and deal you will be advised to book your room as soon as possible. You will need to mention the group name (that comes later). You make your own travel arrangements, and settle your own bill in the restaurants. Arranging the reunion this way is relatively stress free for the organisers (i.e. us!) in that if you can’t make it at the last minute, or wish to join us - it’s no issue. Everyone linked to our community and era is welcome and it will be fun.

Bob has suggested some exciting excursions. A trip round the old Radio Luxembourg obviously (We had 30 DJ’s in the 70’s invading those iconic studios on a coach trip I organised from Copenhagen). And, a river trip on the Moselle - possibly hired for an afternoon with a Disco and take turns on the mike? …and so much more.
