Pixie Lisette Lawrie
What is the connection of the ARTISTS on these pages? Well, in this case, I represent LISETTE LAWRIE, known professionally as PIXIE, as her father. From the age of 4 she was already painting and putting colours together that astonished me. What a brilliant, scintillating career she has had so far, not only in Film & TV with art direction, creating props for sets, make up artist but also through her body painting at Festivals and winning award after award. She is in very much in demand in the industry and so well connected that she is preparing to set up her own body painting agency. Shades of what I did in the 70s and 80s.
After graduating from Bournemouth Media School, Lisette now specialises in the area of production and design. She has been involved with feature films such as ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Street Dance 3D’ and ‘Mad, Sad and Bad’. She has also worked in the art department for Eastenders. Her most recent work involves poster design for the short film ‘Two Skeletons’. She has also worked in the art departments for numerous music videos and idents (TV channel inserts). Her skills include extensive Photoshop work as well as props making, miniatures, DIY, sewing, painting and other general decoration techniques. She worked as Art Director on LoveLove’s ‘Uptight’ Music Video.
